Inflatable News Halloween cartoon design with inflatable dan in a ghost costume X-Treme Creations

Spooky season is coming!

If you were in Antwerp at the start of September, you may have noticed something…

The city was overrun with inflatable monsters! And the star of the show - King Kong - was spotted climbing the Boerentoren with a golden key in hand.

This was all part of Antwerp on Air, an annual event created by my friend Phil Blondé, designed to breathe new life into Antwerp's city centre (LITERALLY). Crowds of people enjoyed the event, stopping, looking up, pointing and smiling, and of course, taking photos and videos. Soon the city (and social media feeds) were buzzing! That’s just what inflatables do!

So if you ever want to get people stopping, looking up, pointing and smiling, and sharing photos of your brand online, get in touch!

Turning up the volume at Airbeat One

At X-Treme Creations, we love festivals, so working on a stage project designed by Rudi of Drawmore for Airbeat One, one of Europe’s biggest dance events, was a real thrill.

Today’s festival stages combine a range of cutting-edge tools including LED screens, metal constructions, scenic panels, projection, lighting, and sound. To match this year’s bold theme, we supplied something a little different: two inflatable horns, each 15 metres long!

Despite their massive size, these giants fold down tiny for transport and storage. Even installation was unconventional - our team guided the crew remotely via FaceTime.

With a combination of all the best techniques and practices in stage design, this 50m piece of art was one of our favourite stages of all time!!

Wondr Walkers hit the streets

Joining the monsters in Antwerp earlier this month were some other inflatable creatures - but these ones were alive!

We worked with the awesome team at Wondr to bring their products to LIFE! Together, we created life sized inflatable walker suits of some of their iconic products including the Wondr shampoo bar, and the face mask.

The walker suits took to streets to engage customers, build brand awareness and of course to create hype around the Wondr store.

Walker suits are the perfect way to catch attention and then engage with customers! Plus they generate countless photo opportunities! The Wondr team now have the perfect marketing tool that they can use again and again!

Bampuku steals the show!

Standing at a towering five metres tall, it was hard to miss Bampuku at the recent Gamescom event in Köln, Germany! Gamescom is the global meeting for the e-Games community, and where new games are launched

This was a technical design with lots of accessories and clothing items to take into consideration, and of course that cute curly tail!

It seems inflatables are becoming more common in the e-Games space as Bampuku joins our other recent character for the team at Bandai Namco including Little Nightmare’s One Piece.

Dust, Sweat and Tears, and… Inflatables!

Roc Du Maroc, an extreme mountain-bike endurance challenge, has been running  for 20 years now! This year we were tasked to create an arch for the departure and arrival gate. The 600km+ route winds through canyons, palm valleys, salt lakes and vast desert plains in Morocco. Conditions can be unpredictable and varied so we needed to build an arch that could withstand the elements!

It wasn’t a traditional arch though, the team added their own flare, can you spot the iconic Roc Du Maroc horns?

And guess what!? Our very own Inflatable Dan competed at the event! Well done Dan!

The circus is in town!

We worked closely with the talented team at Strange People to bring the latest Cirque Du Soleil show to the streets of Knokke, and Brussels!

This 5m high medieval tent was equipped with loops to hang removable banners, helping promote the Alegria performance.

The Cirque Du Soliel team used the tent during their street activations as a way of interacting with locals and spreading the word that they were in town.

Rental spotlight

Spooky Season is nearly here

Want your Halloween event to be memorable this year?

Why not have two GIANT gargoyles guarding the door?!

Towering at nearly 5 metres, our pair of inflatable gargoyles transform any space into a haunted Halloween nightmare!

These guys are in our rental collection - but beware: they book out fast once October creeps in.
