As we move toward 2026, one element will once again be at the core of our lives: air. The air we breathe, the space we create to breathe, and very literally for us at X-Treme Creations: the air that brings our inflatables to life.
Working with inflatables every day makes us more aware than ever of how important sustainability is. Air should lift experiences, not our environmental footprint. That is why we remain committed to smarter materials, longer lifecycles, and creative ways to give our products a second life.
With this final newsletter of 2025, we want to thank you for your trust, your projects, and your ideas. We wish you a healthy, inspiring and sustainable 2026, full of fresh air, new energy, and unforgettable moments together.
Bringing De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig’s Wild Imagination to Life
For the iconic Dutch band De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, we created 10 custom inflatables for their anniversary tour celebrating 20 years of beautiful chaos. The pieces inflated partway through the show and stayed on stage for the full set, turning the whole performance into a surreal, oversized playground.
The inflatable line-up included everything from vapes and cigarettes to a plug, a castle, a glazed donut, and of course Manon the cat from the album cover. A proper mix of De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig humour, nostalgia, and pure weirdness (which is exactly why we loved making them).
If you know De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, you know how influential they are. They’ve played Lowlands, Pinkpop, Rock Werchter, and more, created their own street language, collected awards from MOBO to MTV, and even opened for Snoop Dogg at Ahoy. This year they sold out the Ziggo Dome three times in Holland, once the Lotto Arena in Belgium, and the tour rolls on.
Huge thanks to Sightline Productions, Agents After All, and Light at Work (Jorrit Lousberg) for bringing us into the madness.
A very fun one to make, and even more fun to see come alive on stage.
The Wolf is loose
If you see a giant wolf around Belgium, don’t be alarmed!
Actually you should be excited! You’re lucky enough to be a part of ‘The Big Wolf Hunt’!
The team at Wolf Antwerp came to us with a big idea. They wanted to blow up their logo and use it to place around the city for a competition so of course we said ‘Let’s do it!’.
We took their iconic Wolf logo, and made it big, really really big! At 4 metres tall, the Wolf made a big statement. After the competition, the Wolf will be suspended inside the Food Market, we ensured the logo had multiple uses, creating a more sustainable product.
It was a simple idea executed in 2D at scale, turning a recognisable Belgian brand icon into a playful, comic-like, real-world experience people can engage with.
Ready for lift-off at Electric Love
Electric Love Festival went full space mode this year with a giant space shuttle as their Hard Dance Valley stage, and we were asked to help make it feel like it was really about to take off. The festival ran from 3–5 July at the Salzburgerring in Austria and remains one of our longest-standing partnerships. ELF was one of our very first clients, and they still come back to us, reusing their inflatables wherever possible.
We joined forces with Rudi van de Schoor, stage designer, and Matthias Hochwimmer, Senior Stage Producer, to create the 3 massive inflatable rocket boosters that completed the look. The main rocket structure was built from hard materials, while our inflatables brought scale and life to the design. A true co-creation combined with 2 vertical 26 m h wings and parts of the inflatable robot to make one massive stage moment.
Seeing the boosters in place on that towering rocket was pretty spectacular. They pulled the whole theme together and added that extra wow-factor Electric Love is known for. If you’ve been following our work with them, you might remember the robot and wings from previous editions.
Another fun project with a long-time client and a perfect example of how a bit of air can bring a big creative vision to life. Check out this cool ai creation we made with images of the rockets!
Ever walked inside a bladder?
For Video Factory and their client J&J Innovative Medicine, we created a giant inflatable bladder and prostate that people can literally walk inside. The idea was to help hospitals around Belgium educate visitors about the pathologies that can occur in and around these organs.
Inside the structure, we built detailed inflatable features - tumours, polyps, the urethra, and other key anatomical elements - so medical teams can point things out clearly during patient info sessions and awareness events.
Because it will be used in hospitals all over Belgium, we made all the labels as bilingual removable banners, so the setup can be adapted for any hospital, in any region.
A very different kind of project for us, but a fascinating one to bring to life.
A 5.4m stopwatch in the middle of Leuven
The creative teams behind radio stunts never do things low-key, so when MNM launched a mega countdown, of course they needed a GIANT inflatable stopwatch.
Sander Gillis spent a full week locked inside a makeshift studio container in the centre of Leuven, with no idea what time it was. His challenge was to rely purely on intuition to guess when it was exactly 4pm on Friday.
To reveal his guesses versus the actual time, the team needed an oversized visual right outside the container and that’s where we came in.
We built a 5.4-metre inflatable stopwatch designed to grab attention covering the rectangular led countdown screen behind , pull in passers-by, and make the whole stunt even more fun and engaging.
And even better, Pommelien Thijs played a surprise concert right in front of the stopwatch, turning the whole moment into a mini street festival.
