The company Ground and Demolition works De Meuter nv is located near the E40 in Ternat. They offer their clients a wide range of services, ranging from the stripping of buildings, asbestos removal, complete or partial demolition works, the earthworks and any associated remediation work, as well as the processing of the debris and waste!

Briefing:
We were contacted at the beginning of December by Wave Agency, a well known sport and field marketing agency in Belgium, if we could, within 2 weeks, create an eyecatcher with an excavator next to the E40 (one of the major highways in Belgium) close to Brussels.
We’ve got quiet some experience at X-treme with special requests or specific demands from our customer, but excavators are quiet new for us!
De Meuter, based in Ternat (Brussels), has been specialized for over 40 years and is the market leader in soil and demolition works. Every day they work in about 80 yards, of which a large part of these yards are located in the Brussels-Capital Region. They are also active throughout Flanders, Wallonia and even beyond the Belgian borders (France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).
Project:
De Meuter works with heavy equipment, often very large equipment. The construction had to stand out and fit the look and feel of the company!
Soon it was decided to use one of our transparent bubbles without a door with a diameter of 6m on top of a platform of 6 sea containers, at a height of 5m!
A 4.5 ton heavy excavator would then be placed in the transparent bubble.
Since the construction would remain during the whole Christmas holiday it was extremely important that the construction was also wind and weather resistant, and now let that be one of the specializations of X-treme!
De Meuter provided the 6 containers to create a stable platform of 5m high. a gigantic 50-tonne telescopic crane, with a mast of no less than 38 meters in length, had to in to get the necessary material such as the 4,5 ton excavator and the bubble at height!
The daring piece was skilfully completed by the team of X-treme in cooperation with Wave and De Meuter in only half a day!
ROI:
The 11m high entity, consisting of the 5m high platform of 40 and 20 foot containers, with the 6m high bubble with the excavator in it, stood for more than 2 weeks right next to the E40 in Ternat, one of the busiest highways in Belgium, and formed a gigantic eye-catcher!
Every day more than 120,000 vehicles pass over the E40 in Ternat, which in 2 weeks time means audience of about 1.7 million vehicles!
The impact of this project on the brand awareness of De Meuter is immense!

Transparant Bubbles?!
Bubbles exist in different sizes (from 3m - 12m diameter) and versions. The most important characteristic is that they are all round and transparent with almost unlimited possibilities!
There are bubbles with and without access doors. They all create a fantastic atmosphere and can be decorated with lights or snow if you wish!
Bubbles without an entrance door are usually used for a static showcase of products such as vehicles, furniture, clothing, etc.
Bubbles with entrance doors offer the advantage that you can easily walk in and out. They can therefore also be used for numerous applications, such as:
- Pop-up Bar and/or restaurant
- Hotel room with the possibility to sleep under a beautiful starry sky!
- Office and/or meeting room
- Showroom
- Etc.
If desired, there is also the possibility to link different bubbles to each other and, as it were, create a modular village!
